MIA.

Sorry I've been MIA this week- it's been a doozy. Yesterday was Holden's FOURTH birthday though- so I wanted to show you some pictures from that. She feels the same way about birthdays as I do- and proved this by saying "Well somebody's gotta celebrate my birthday" when her dad asked for five more minutes when she was ready to open her presents at 5:00 a.m.

Davis was so sweet to her- he kept saying "It's your birthday Holdy. You're such a big girl. I'll get all your presents for you and throw away the trash." She looks so old to me here- I don't like it.

She and Meg made cupcakes yesterday- and I'm certain she did her fair share of testing them. Although, her brother holds the record for sneaking FIVE cookies out of the top of the refrigerator this morning before anyone woke up. :-/

And then last night after work we went to Chuck E Cheese (Holden's pick) to keep celebrating. When I got there, I said "Holden- did you have a good birthday?" And she very quickly looked at me and said "It's not over yet." Apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

I also have some pictures from our outing to the American Girl Doll shop and cafe on Saturday. We had so much fun, but poor thing, I could visually see her getting sick during lunch. She turned white, and wouldn't eat, and we had to bolt out of there. She was sick Saturday through Tuesday. But before she got sick- she picked out a super cute doll named Kit, who has a little bob haircut, just like her.

I hope she has felt as special and as loved as she is. Some days I look at her and I just don't know what we would all do without her kind, sweet, and happy-go-lucky personality. She is everything that God knew we would need in our family- and I just love her so much. I'm so proud of who she is, and so excited to see who she will continue to become.
