Texas: Part III.

We got to spend a lot of time with my grandparents while we were in Texas, which I LOVED. I really have missed them even more than I thought I would. Davis and Holden are still talking about nanny and grandpa and when they are coming to visit! I can see why, when your great grandparents are cool enough to plan soap races in your Honey's backyard...

We also went to Mr. Gatti's with them, the donut shop, and also just played in their great backyard.

You know how people always pity the second child because they have so few pictures of them? Not in our family. I tried to get Davis to pose for these pics too- but he would not stand for it. Literally.

Okay but it's a little bit different with Nikki. He SO adores Nikki (no offense nanny and grandpa) and wants to be with her every minute of every day. He told me so. They are kindred spirits, for sure.

Okay so back to the future...yesterday on the way to work I heard the radio guy talking about what he was going to prepare for his neighborhood party since it was "National Night Out". I listened for a while and thought he was just talking about it for something to talk about on the show...but then when I asked people about it at work, I realized this was a real thing. Apparently, people register their little neighborhood night out with the police and the police come and block your street and people get together for dinner and what not.

I didn't figure it was happening on our street- but when we got back last night after playing at the park and picking up my car at the shop (blech, yes again) our street was blocked off, there was a GIANT bouncy house, and about 60 people were gathered around, newborns all the way up to grandparents. Of course we had to go check it out. It was the cutest thing I have ever seen. Davis jumped for about an hour in the bouncy house and Holden went back and forth between the puppy dogs that were there and the cookie tray. There are some things that are just so quintessentially cute about Minne, and this was one of them.

Okay- that's all I have for today. I realize some of the pictures are sideways- I will fix them later- something is janked up with the program I use and I don't have time to mess with it. Peace out.
